I have hunted with Rambler many nights and he is all coondog! He is one of the best hounds I've seen in a long time.. He reminds me of his Sire, GrNtCh Latenite Big Bubba and his Grandma, GrNtCH Hollow Oak Singing Samantha. I hunted a lot of nights with most of the dogs in Ramblers pedigree and he comes from a long line of Coondogs!

GR.NT.CH. PURDY'S WOOD ROCK'N RAMBLER !!!

i hunted rambler for tom this past august and septemer, i put him in six nite champion casts in a row and he won six out of six. i put four wins on him, he got in the final four at the mini slam at the world hunt this past fall scoring 825+, 0 circle, 0 minus. and he was qualified for the 2012 ukc world championship. he was qualified at meadville pa.. went to the zones in meadville and had a friday night cast win and should of won his cast saturday night as well, but due to poor judging he was beat. rambler is a COONDOG barr none that gets to himself and trees raccoons, and is a PRESSURE TREEDOG.he did ALL his WINNING by getting to himself with the MEAT !!! i've been hunting for 45 years and RAMBLER is ONE of best that i ever unsnapped. i don't own one hair on him, all i can say is call tom and he will be more than glad to put him in the timber and you can be his judge !!! he's lightning fast. NOTE: TOM PURDY IS ONE OF THE MOST HONEST GUYS THAT YOU WOULD EVER MEET.

the people that drew RAMBLER will tell you what kind of dog HE IS !!!

Rick, thank you for the kind words, but the truth of the matter is if you hadn't hunted him every night, in every possible circumstance for two months. And Merle hadn't been willing to hunt him on a moments notice. He would still be just another dog tied out behind the barn. You two guys are the ones who put all the work into him, and you two guys deserve all the credit for what he is!!

Harold, thanks for the good words about Rambler. Sounds like Blaze is tearing it up with Merle he is a good one thats for sure. Looking back on it I wish we would of breed Sam a few more times. I don't think there is very much left out there that goes back to her. But at least we have two!!

Posted by Rick Dennison on 03-13-2012 05:22 PM:

tom, load rambler and your female up and come up for a hunt before you get in the fields !!!

Tom, I'm glad to see your still at it. Looks like you have a nice one. After seeing this on here I still can't believe that you have learned how to use a computer and posted this all on your own. Im proud of you little fella lol. What everyone said about your dog being out of a long list of coon dogs is absolutely correct. Bet there isn't a day that goes by when you don't wish that you could have old Sammy back as a two year old.

Davey, thank you for the compliments although i'm not sure I deserve them. I sure do appericate them. I would definately like to go huntung. Since Elwood is gone there isn't anyone around here that hunts much that I know of.

Joey, I hate to disappoint you, since your so proud of me. But Ashley does all the posting for me. Actually Doug is helping me type this since I don't know how to start a new paragraph. I did send an E-Mail one time, but it didn't go through.

Had the pleasure of hunting with Tom and Rambler, Bruce and Hannah! Rambler was impressive coming out of his kennel, but he was even more impressive in the woods! In my opinion, he is the total package, fast hard hunter, loud, independent, and accurate! Hannah looked really good too, especially after coming off a litter of puppies! We made 8 trees and looked at 6 coons, and 2 good dens. Tom and Bruce were top notch guys too! Me and Jake look forward to hunting with you guys again!
