Weight

I have a male that had the same problem when I bought him. I wormed him, gave the best feed I could get, and took him to the vet and had him tested for all kinds of worms, he had a bad case of whip worms. Even after that, he still seemed to struggle with his weight, so I doubled up the amount of food I feed him, and he's gained a lot of weight, and doing great now. A friend also told me to go to the grocery store and ask for pure beef fat and give it to him once or twice a day with his food, I also included that in with doubling up. He looks great now! Hope this helps!

Your inbox was full so it wouldn't let pm you, but the vet gave him Droncit Tabs, it cost 8 bucks, but ive herd safe guard at tractor supply co. works good to for whip worms.

feed program

what kind of protein is the feed and how much fat is in the feed. io train race horses for a living and fat produces energy trust me look it up. i use diamond high energy dog food. and this dog food has never had a probelm putting weight on a dog trust me on that one. its a 24% protein and a 20% fat. people say thast high but when your running dogs in the winter and or the summer months first off you want them health and some kind of weight on the fat produce energy so my dogs will run longer and stronger. protein and fat is what your looking for mainly in dog food. and third is vitamins source. now in the summer just cut them back if you want i dont though but for dogs that are hunting or weight pulling or any kinda performance dog good protein and high fat. now i have always used safe guard wormer for my horses and as well for dogs and safe guard gets all the worms. cause worms lay up to 200,000 to 300,000 eggs a day. dont believe me look it up. i may be fresh back in the coonhuntin but i know horses and dogs.

for those

for those that think the fat in the food i feed is to high i cut my dogs loose if not everynight every other and make at least 1 drop up to 4 drops a night.but even if i was droping them in one time a night i would still feed it.

A lot of ppl dont realize a dog needs more than one kind of wormer to get all the worms praziquantal is the only wormer that kills tapeworms in dogs cause they are the kind that are carried by fleas safeguard is great for whips and hooks but isnt all that good for round worms the best wormer for that is strongid aka pyrantal so I give my dogs worm x plus pill aka drontal aka droncid they all are a mixture of pyrantal and praziquantal plus safeguard aka fenbendizole if you have wormed your dog out with all of these then the satin balls work great also chicken quarters plus dry dog food work good to put weight on a dog

Your dog could still have tape worms neither of these wormers contain praziquantal the tape worms that panacur will kill are not the ones that usually infect dogs
Dogs usually get tape worms from fleas

I had the same problem a week ago.. go to Google and search satin balls... I've fed them with twice reccommended feed for a week and she's put on atleast 10 lbs..
