How long after hunting a dog that tracks coon and opens up good but don't tree do u give up. 30 days 60 days any tricks to get them more interested in treeing

for me .its 18 mths old .as long as u put the time in to um but dont burn um out . try a live traped coon in a tree.raise and lower it to keep um goin hard at it .

the hardest tree dog i ever owned didn't really even start treeing till 12 months old.
