How many Grand Nites

I would love to know who has took the most dogs with no wins on them and made them Grand Nite Ch. Putting every win on the dog.

for the average guy its tough enough to get a couple in my opinion

i've granded one, akc/ukc gr,nt.ch.gr.ch. deanwood strom and proud of it . finished a few others to nt.ch. but there is always the issue of enough cash to do more ,bad luck with the dogs and ability to get there for myself!1 my congrats to and a tad of jealousy toward anywone who has accomplished this with a bunch!!!

as much as some people dislike him in our area there is a handler named david hall that has finished over 50 dogs he knows a coondog if he hears youre dog bark 6 times he can outcall ya the rest of the night

I have finished 8. I raised them all from pups did all the hunting on them and all of the wins. The gyp I have right now went from nothing to grand in 10 hunts. 8 first places and 2 dead cast.

Been a few years ago but he tried it on the dog I was hunting & didn't work for him. I won the cast with a good score & he went out the back door. Prob just the dog I was hunting. wasn't easy to call, you had to know him good, but was all coondog

I don't under stand this. What does outcall mean? You mean he's a pro at pitching his dog?

Maybe your average hunter that doesn't know much.

I respect guys that put the work and time into taking one from nothing to Grand Nite. As long as it doesn't take years

randy jaccaud hunted a female which after he finished her, he bred her to his old hank dog. he started with this female never being in a hunt and went from a registered dog to a grand nite in less than two months.

Pitching means a handler will just strike his dog when alot of noise is being made by the other hounds.

I call that CHEATING. Gues the younger generation has put a new definition to the word "cheating", even to the word LIER my dad tought me that anything but the truth was a LIE , don't know the meaning to a littlt white lie either,now if he has not barked and you PITCH him have you lied and cheated the other handler? HUMMMM just asking. Maybee Dad was wrong and I have lived the last 69 years in a fog,don't think so though. HUMMMM

H.L let me tell you, it's not just the younger generation. I started comp hunting when I was 8-9 years old. I'm now 53 with a Bday coming up, those guys I thought were old when I was in my teens cheated just like you think this younger generation does now...LOL
Your a good guy though, I know that. Thanks again for Judging B & T Days a few years ago for me.

really! you mean to tell me some guys will cheat to win. and i thought all them grand nites were real coondogs.
dang, i thought all them paid handlers wanting to be the judge was just them helping out the club.
heck, i remember when some were keeping slingshots down thier chap and two eyes balls on a string ,shoot them into the tree and then score plus on a slick. you go to enough hunts and you will see more then you ever relized happen.

Pitching is cheating. No other way to say it.

I drew a guy one night. We made 5 cuts and he had 1st strike on 4 of the 5 cuts and I NEVER heard his dog open a single time on track. I honestly believe his dog was stonle cold silent. On the last cut I finally brought it up because he blatently struck my dog. The other guys in the cast said no i'm pretty sure that was his dog. I laughed and got rude with all of them. Said isn't it funny how he keeps getting first strike then his dog is never heard from again until it trees, none of them said a word. Made them mad but I could care less. Hate dis-honest guys in hunts.
