17 -18 coons in 2 hours ????

Hey guys, I want to know what to bait with, can any of the guides that treed this many coon tell me what to bait with to draw in this kind of coon population ??? Im being serious. Not trying to start anything . Thats awesome scores and glad to see North Carolina producing scores such as this and guys wanting to come here and hunt. I just havent found out what I need to bait with to draw in coons like this. Any help appreciated...

if you dont want to post it here , please pm me. I want to know so i can get some coon in my area to hunt my pups on .

Posted by oldsmobile63 on 02-27-2012 12:47 PM:

bait

what i did was take a tire thats on a rim and cut little squares in it big enough for the coon to stick his hand in the tire fill tire in the inside with feed corn ,mix in grape cool aid powder, molasess, and marshmellows and the coon will eat the crap out of it. it draws in a lot of coon

Justin you know as well as I do there is nobody treeing that many coons in two hours by himself or with others 9 coons is 40 minutes of waiting for the five.People can get mad at me but for anybody to score that many points is not right. When you breed to a grand night think about it most are paper made few are for real.

i guess i just cant draw the right guides down there , 375 plus is the best ive ever done down at setwd , never went over an hour away from club neither , i have just as good of hounds as anybody i think , the spots and coon population ive seen on my casts down there aint a bit better than wv just alittle flatter country for walking .

Evidently none of you read the man's post on the 17 coon in 2 hour cast, 6 were in one tree 2 had doubles, and other dogs had split trees so 17 in 2 hrs sure could.

Posted by howie on 02-27-2012 08:50 PM:

i didnt know N.C. had lots of coons like Northern Indiana and Michigan. I would love to hunt there if i can find someone to take me.

Posted by Ricky L Hovis on 02-27-2012 08:50 PM:

Read David Gardin's other post in other thread**** Its very possible. Friday night coons were moving. I had two friends that treed five coon's pleasure hunting, on two separate hunting cast. The same areas were hunted with the same dogs Saturday night and none were treed. Go figure. Some nights move better than other. Happy Hunting

A BLACK N TAN COULD DO IT! ARE MAYBE A 3/4 BLACK N TAN BUT NOT A WALKER.

Guys, i didnt post this to argue about who treed what and how many they treed, thats an never ending argument and energy I dont care to waist because it doesnt accomplish anything... What I want to know is what is the best thing to draw alot of coon in . This post was put on here asking the guides that guided for this hunt to tell me what they are using for my own personal use to hunt and start pups nothing else.

Whether they treed that many or not is irrelevant cause no one cares now, the hunt is over and everyone is moving on to the next one. By this time next week no one will even be talking about who won. Its just like all the rest of these hunts. Its important until its over then its in the past...
