Whats the best way to wean off buckets

I have a quick question. And please no smart A** anwsers. Whats the best way to start weaning a 11 month old pup off buckets. She will go in there strike off and tree and there will be a coon there 75% of the time. But if nothing has came to feed or it isnt the hottest track she will run around for a little bit and then come back i feel like its starting to make her lazy. Also i have had her many times go in there and just get very tree happy, (YES SHE IS A WALKER SO THAT COMES WITH THE TERRITORY). I dont know if theres so much scent around she cant fig the track out or if shes treeing squirrels or what. She hasnt got much range to her yet she will only hunt from 1-300 yards and if she cant find nothing she comes back does that maybe come with the age. She has only been hunted by her self and never with another dog. I have turned her loose in the wild a few times and she has treed in dens but it must of been a hot track. Any advice from you pros would be appreciated

I BOUGHT ONE ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO THAT WAS THE SAME WAY. I JUST WALKED HIM TO THE POINT HE GOT THE MESSAGE. HE WAS AT THE POINT TO WHERE IF HE SEEN A OLD TIRE IN THE WOODS HE WAS GOING TO CHECK IT OUT. THE NEXT TIME YOU START ONE ON FEEDERS PUTTING IT IN A WIDE OPEN FIELD WILL HELP THE TREE HAPPINESS.

So are you implying maybe walk him in the woods away from the bucket and cast her. Yeah a feeder in a field would but great but im hunting nothing but swamp or pine thickets. Kinda sucks for me but i play with the cards im dealt with. I just hope i can break her from doing it.

YES JUST KEEP ON WALKING UNTIL YOU CROSS A TRACK THE PUP CAN RUN AND DON'T WORRY WITH THE FEEDERS AT ALL.

yeah ive moved them all further off where my drops are i only have them up to hold coons in the area. But i guess its back fired on me right now.
