How Do You Do It...
1750+ ...EVEN HUNTING ALONE IN A 2 HR HUNT...CAN SOMEONE BRAKE IT DOWN FOR ME,THAT IS JUST TO MUCH MATH FOR THIS OLD BOY.....
Pretty much impossible in my opinion but the best chance would be a 2 dog cast with 1 coondog and 1 meeeto dog. In a one dog cast you have to run the 5 on every tree which would use up half the hunt time, on the 2 dog cast as soon as they got treed you could run in and score. Still would have to get struck, run the track ,get treed ,walk to tree, find the coon ,get em on the card, cut loose and do it 8 times in 120 minutes. Not sure i would believe it if i was there to see it.

In thick coon with a good dog 1750 is possible under the right conditions. 8 trees in 2 hours with a coon in each.
I've treed that many and more coon in Michigan in 2 hours by just cutting back into the same woods with a good dog and her popping coons every few minutes.

chuck, if you want ,get with me and we'll make a road trip this summer to my buddy's in ohio. i've only scored 1325 there, but he has brought back 1750.the 1325 night we didn't even have a real good hunt, but there where losts of coon.

one scenario
1750
1st strike and 2nd tree=175
1st and 1st on 7 more trees=1575
Cast win = 1750+
Sounds kind of like a coondog in good coon population to me. Fast on both ends and not blowing by any coons.

JOHN THAT IS HALF THE SENARIO....LETS BREAK THE TIME DOWN ...NOT SAYIN IT DIDNT HAPPEN BUT LETS SEE IT,MUST OF BEEN ALOT OF HITCH HIKERS AND ONLY ONE COONDOG ...NO SPLIT TREES OUR TRACKS STILL OPEN AFTER SHINNIG TIME TO TURN BACK INTO....
Why is it that after every big hunt the people , most of whom never even attended this hunt or very many other hunts throughout the year start their whining and crying? Under the right conditions 1800+ is possible. this is the right time to tree a lot of coon quick. Had the scores been 300+ down to 25+ these same doubters would be on here bashing everyones dog for not being a coon dog. Believe it or not there are dogs out there that truly are first tree dogs. If a dog covers this first tree dog 5 or 10 seconds after this first tree dog is treed does that make that dog a me too dog? Me too get tossed around a lot more often than it really should. Walker Days is coming up in Indiana pretty soon come on up or down and hunt over some big feeder buckets they call them corn and bean fields up here and see if you can score 1775+. You might not but you might get to see a dog that can.
along ways from this type score but i scored 550 one night in 28 minutes.... not impossible by any means but the kicker is we scored 7 coon up 7 different trees in that 28 minutes... it did keep us from having a great score because everyone was splitting but sure as heck is possible
like was said....thats only 4 trees and average with coon...
very possible depending on the hunt and the cast...
like was said, best bet would be a 2 dog cast..or a cast that ends up with 2 dogs fairly quick...
i know in the fall hunting in the corn fields here, 4 trees an hour isnt that tough to do..
alot comes down to the guide and how the cast (dogs) work out...4 dogs that split tree make big scores tougher to obtain...dogs that arent as fast or never wanna tree make it about impossible....ive sat on the SAME stump for a 2hr hunt once after scoring a tree or 2 my dog made...

All the idiots defending these scores are the same guys that fill there scorecards out at the wafflehouse. Come on are you people that dumb to think you can justify an 1800 point score? There would be some serious follow the leader goin on to accomplish anything close to that. But thats about all u see in ukc anymore is a bunch of me tooin pack dogs that couldnt tree there own coon if they had to

Its sad to know that a 800-900 plus point cast win will pretty much get you nothing in these large events. And a 800 score IS NOT EASY let aone a 1200 or 1300 score. Like I said alot of guys pretty much plus every tree they walk to knowing that they have to beat 50 or 60 other dogs in their class.
I love how everyone says how easy it is yet they have never scored even close to that. I have been hunting in the hunts for some time now and drew some really nice dogs in UKC and PKC. Never seen a score over 1,000.
Once I see it a few times and see it done honestly I will be a believer.
I guided a cast of Nite Chs 2 weeks ago. 3 dog cast and all were packing the whole night. We hit 9 woods and I won it with 875 plus and 400 circle.
This time of year you better expect 1 out of 8 trees to be a den. 4 of the 5 coon we scored on were in dens. Females are moving very little.

over 1000 is not hard to do in thick coon with a good guide and a fast dog highest i have scored is 1550+ would have scored more if i didnt have to wait the 5 for other dogs treed 7 coon first and first every drop 3 dog cast recast from quite a few trees hunt was in febuary if you tree a coon every hundred yards or so you dont have to wait long for the other dogs they arent me tooing they just arent locating as fast
i have treed 13 coon in an hour and 15 min hunting a dog alone so if you take out some time for other dogs it is not that hard to get a big score in thick coon
if you cant get a big score to win get a better guide or a better dog whitch ever one is the problem
