R.I.P. Grand Nite Champion Bellars Ajax

He was my buddy and a good dog.

Posted by JiM on 01-09-2012 04:34 PM:

Good as any I ever followed. Ajax and my old Jeff dog came up at the same time, hunted them together a lot as pups. Jeff is about on his last legs too. Time flies.

Sorry for your loss Marv.
I remember seeing him at Wyatt, and I could tell you were proud of him.Time sure does fly,it's a shame that they all go too fast.

Marv

Sorry for the lost. I want to think you guys so much for giving us the chance at getting those big d Joplin females. Sally is my favorite dog to snap a lead on, she's so smart I believe I could house break her in a day. I'll get u guys set up for a hunt with her, she's attached to me like a house dog. She don't want no one messing with me lol, thanks so much.

Marv, sorry to hear about ajax. If you say he is one of the best you ever followed that in itself says alot about his ability... Good luck with finding his replacement

Ajax

Sorry to hear about your loss of Ajax. I sure like the Psycho dogs. I would have liked to have hunted with Ajax when he was in his prime. Was he ever bred?

Marv,

Ole Ajax still holds the record for the most impressive one drop coon treeing expo that I've ever seen.....

I will go to my grave telling the story about the night we drew out in Wyatt in the thunderstorm. That storm chased us all back to the truck, I found mine under the truck, the other dog was "at large".....and when the worst of the storm passed, we could hear Ajax treed....that coon was soaking wet and Ajax treed that coon during one of the worst thunderstorms I've ever witnessed!

Thanks for the memories all.
I let Ajax go to texas to kyle Creal when Janice came along and I thought I saw some potential in her.
We got to thinking we should bring him home and collect him before it was too late.I wanted to breed Janice to him. Well it already was too late, he was sterile and full of cancer. We should have collected him before he went to tx but hindsight is always 20-20. He was never bred.
