Birds eye view, you can see the terrain, kind of from above, and at a slight angle like you're flying over it.

it has to be down loaded from the garmin website... you have to pick the sections you want to down load, it doesn't go by state or county..

You will have to get someone over and set down in front of the computer and down load what ya want. I don't believe you are gonna buy a map card ready to install with it.. I have not added any birds eye to mine but have asked several questions about it but have never got a straight answer... I believe it will have to be down loaded straight into the hand held its self because it still uses the map card to show the roads and road names... I haven't called Garmin yet for advice on how to do it and haven't thought much about down loading birds eye. After talking to a few that have down loaded it, I just don't think it would help where I hunt. I think I would only see the tops of trees because its so thick. ... Be aware that it cost so much for section to down load and you also have to pay a $32.00 fee per year to use it.
