im old school my buddy has a walk dog i been going with him once in awhile anys ways tonight him and his nephew came picked me up got to where we was going to hunt nephew got his english dog out started putting collars on i said oboy we in for it tonite he had a garmin never seen 1 before we turn dogs out my buddys dog came back ask where the english dog was at after a few mins he said hes out there alttle ways he said look at the garmin dog was 820 yds from us dont think he could hunt that dog with out it man its neat but i sure wouldnt want a dog that goes like that to much for this ole man

i myself have one to. they sure do save alot of walking. you can look and see witch way your dog is headed and take off alot of steps that way.other than that really dont think i need one causemost of the time i can hear were my dogs at when she opens.

yea he could tell you just where that dog was at like i say im old school never had no kind of tracking collars i just got a shock collar a 5 yrs ago made things easier thier nice he showed me all kinds stuff its neat but to high tech for this ole man lol

im not that old myself and i agree about the to high tech thing. i just use it to show me were my dog is and how far away. thats all i need to know.

hillbilly, i know what you mean about those garmins. they sure are neat. i dont have one yet, but it sure gives me a sense of comfort at least to know what he is doing and where. i still run skeet old school when i can. my light broke so i take a flashlight and just putting my ear to the wind. i will have a garmin one day, but i think that it will out smart me,lol. i cant even figure out the dvr and the remote for the tv. smiles.

how you been doin girl hope you had a good holiday yea this dumb ole hillbilly sure couldnt operate 1 but they are really neat he could show where the truck was all kinds of things in the woods the how the land laid my light broke on me 2 i got go over town and get a swich that turns it on and adjust the brightness i sent a brand new lite to a young boy in north carolina when i had to quit hunting maybe should kept it but i like to help the youths out you take care be safe when you in the big truck

hillbilly, christmas was good and eventful,lol.
i cant figure out what the problem was with the light. battery was charging, it was warm to touch but no light. maybe it is the switch or something. makes me upset cause it's only 6 months old. oh well.
glad to hear you are feeling better. i have been so close to west va. and in it in the last couple months i shouldve brought skeet down to the big hills. if i have another road trip i will get ahold of you. skeet really needs to run.

i was just in logan, ohio. beautiful country. i have been thinkin on movin down to the ohio border next year.

yea logan not that far away i used to haul headlights bases i think out of a ge plant in logan not sure its even still there i just got back from town went to get a pice to fix my light they closed down moved to morgantown bout 20 mins north of me nite light wants 50 dollars for the switch part with the flicker feature but i never use it so i can get the part i need for 11 dollars you see people on here wanting differnt parts for lights if i had what they wanted i would seen it to them didnt charge them for nothing didnt figure i would ever get to coon hunt again now i dont have parts to fix my own lol but i only get out 2 or 3 times a month or i would just buy me a new light but afraid i will go down hill again then id get depressed and give it away you take care glad to hear from you
