Dog with bad cough.

Any advice on treating a dog with a bad cough? I have her on oxytetracycline right now. On day 3. She seems to be getting a little better, but she still has a bad cough and her lungs sound full of junk. Coughs up a lot of phlegm. She has been wormed and is in every other way in good health. She stays in most of the time so bad weather is not the issue. My other dogs are not affected, so it does not seem to be infectious. I have seen kennel cough before and this does not seem like that. Any ideas?

oxytet covers bacterial pneumonia, and ivomec should cover lung worms... I would assume oxytet would also cover any other resparatory infections.

Normally I would say kennel cough, but it is more of a dry cough. Any fever?

it does not really seem like blasto is very treatable anyway from what I hear. Did your vet feel like he could have saved her if that is what she had? My work schedule won't let me get her to a vet til Wednesday. She has no fever and does not seem weak at all. I have not hunted her for a week just in case, but she wants to go.
