whats the weather in your neck of the woods?

Rainin so hard earlier the ducks were lookin for cover! Slowed now to a steady yet hard rain. Had planned on hunting tonight but mother nature planned different I reckon?

We have 33 and soggy ground due to our heavy rain Mon-Wed. You would think the coon would be moving around here but the last month has been den after den.

Send them ducks on down hyar. We dry, they might not can land. I planted jap millet and jap turnips in my duckpond. Can kick up dust in them right now. LOL Turnips is consolation prize but prefer ducks smoked hocks with them. Hunted tonight in short sleeved shirt. Bet It changes alot for the Grand American though. It always does.

weather

pretty much what nypigman said. It has been raining here the past couple of days so I haven't been able to get out at night too much. Seems to be a lot warmer when it is raining though. Wish this weather would stick all winter so I could get my pups a rockin and rollin.

Mild here, expecting 40's this Christmas weekend. No snow on the ground but the lakes and marshes are frozen. Smaller lakes are getting fished on with folks in portable ice houses and four wheelers. No vehicles going out yet but probably will be solid enough in two more weeks. A few big lakes still have some open water. On Lake Mille Lacs they had to use air boats to rescue 30 people who were on an ice sheet that broke loose from the good ice. They were on eight inches of good ice but it split off and gave them a ride out into the lake. Wind has been stirring it so it is keeping open out in the main lake.

Today: Clouds will begin to decrease as high pressure settles in for the next few days. This will give us drier conditions and temperatures this afternoon, closer to seasonal average in the lower 50s.

Tonight: A colder evening is in store with temperatures dropping down into the low to mid 30s and partly cloudy to mostly cloudy conditions.

Christmas Weekend: Sunny skies are in store for both Saturday and Sunday as highs remain in the upper 40s to low 50s. A slight chance for a shower or two on Sunday.

Bet that brought new meaning to "wind chill"!!!

Down here in Louisiana it's raining on and off so, it's kinda wet. Highs near 60s, lows near 40s.

Haven't been out at night but it rained yesterday and the solunar table says the deer should be most active at midday - bucks are definitely pushing does. And, they're still feeding on acorns - we had a bumper crop of acorns this year, and they all fell at once!

Sorry willseeyalater, had a bit of a chill thinking of airboats on that humongous chunk of water (mille lac)!! Yikes!

We've had snow and lows in the 20's the last 2 nights here in Southwestern Ny. Chautauqua Co. Theres a light coating of snow on the ground right now as I'm typing this, but it was alot of rain before it switched over to snow showers Thurs night.

Sure but there aren't any gators or cotton mouths in the water so pick your dangers I suppose.
