When I lived in texas it wasnt uncommon to tree them about 15 min before dark around the creeks. Guys up in Ohio are seeing coons around deer feeders around 3 and 4 in the afternoon give it a try.....

I would go for it for sure. I see coon all the time in the daytime.

When I hunt I always turn loose right after dark. I have turned loose a half hour before dark before.

Sometimes as early as half hour before dark coon are stirring early now and it is odd the first time you tree one before dark but you get use to it.

Due to work and family I turn loose right at dark and quit about 10. We are going to start turning out on the weekends about 3am and see what happens.

That always seems to be the best time to cut to be honest. Most nights you will get a hot race at that time. I have never cut loose before dark but I may Try cutting around 45 min before dark and see how it goes.

I have to wait for the deer hunters to get out of the woods until January.

In the colder months I LOVE turning loose at dusk dark, after the sun has gone down but before it gets black dark.

when i bowhunt i see them every evening. at least 2 or 3 go by about thirty minutes before dark. especially if there is a cold front moving in they will move early to avoid weather. if a guy picks his nights right and has the right dog it could be very productive i bet. good luck

We have had the most luck turning them lose a half an hour to a hour before dark.

Also making a quick drop right before sunrise works. I think they move the most during these times.
