-- Female heat cycle QUESTION (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=464299)
Female heat cycle QUESTION
I have a female that comes in heat about every 2 to 3 months, I have thought about having her spayed. I hate to do that because I would like to get a litter of pups out of her one day.
has anyone ever had this problem? can anything be done?
Female
I got one that does the same thing, she's all clover on top not sure u can do anything other than having them spayed.
I had a blue gyp that did the same thing...Seems like every time I got her going she would come in. I finally gave up and sold her.

There is a medicine out there called aboleron for dogs. You give it to them daily and it keeps them from coming in heat. When you want pups, you just take her off it and her cycle will come back. A lot of times it will also right the heat cycle in most fe males. Ask your vet about it.
