How do fox run?

I've got a young dog that I think is running fox, I've heard several different stories on how they run and am curious as to how they run in your area, grey and red.

My experience with grays is that they will run in circles, The reds I have run in fox pens will stretch out a little bit more.

We have grey's and they tend to run in circles.. Some big circles, some smaller.. Generally you can sit in one spot and they go out of hearing then circle around and they will come back into hearing (if they haven't treed).. It usually at least an hour race..

My dogs run it wide open on track.. They tend to be tight mouthed on bobcats but run a fox like they are looking at it..

Occasionally, but this person says they run this way and another says they run that way so I'm trying to get the skinny from the knowledgeable people on the UKC website.
