Pro Plan Performance Users........

Is it worth the price? Any way to make it more (COST AFFECTIVE)?I've always wanted to try it, But the $/BAG WEIGHT turns me away. Purina has so many different sub-companies for feeds of all kinds now, i wish it was just GOOD OLE' PURINA MILLS CO. again. I have totally redone my PRO CLUB membership to better meet my needs should i decide to start feeding it. Just wanted to here how HOUNDSMEN/ WOMEN felt bout it. THANKS.

I switched to Purina One lamb and rice about a month or so ago....My dogs do really well on it and it isnt quite as expensive as the pro plan.

There isnt as much waste as with other feed. and the higher quality means that the dogs dont eat as much as the low priced food. a bag of proplan the same wait as something else will last twice as long and the dogs look better to.

there is no better feed for my swim dogs. good solid stool, minimal waste. straight line from bank to bank.

i have a couple of picky eaters. probably shouldn't do it but i mix the pro plan lamb and rice, beef and rice, and chicken and rice and performance. 1 bag of each. my dogs seem to do well and like the mixed flavors. i have one dog that is a hard keeper. he just has a very high metabolism and very high energy. this keeps his weight up and keeps him going. i have tried other feeds but keep coming back to purina. #1 they give out the rebate checks. #2 they support my sport.

PRO PLAN

IT IS NOT THE CHEAPEST FEED AT THE STORE BUT IT IS THE CHEAPEST IN THE FEED SCOOP IT WILL GO THE LONGES YOU HAVE FEED A BAG AND THE DOG YOU FEED WILL PERFORM AT HIS BEST THE ONLY THING YOU WILL FEED MORE THAN YOU NEED TO AT FIRST IT IS A PREMIUM FEED MADE OUT OF TOP QUAILITY INGREDTENTS NO BY PRODUCTS.

there is no better food for what we as coon hunters need. I have fed about everything available in my area, and some that aren't anymore. Purina Pro Plan Performance keeps them ready to hunt when you are. Do the testing yourself. I did. My dogs are healthier, and the stamina levels are higher. Pricey yes. i guess it all depends on how you feel about your hunting partner. I kinda like mine.

Of course there is better feed out there but PPP served me well for a very long time and would cover about %99 of what coonhunters need in a feed.

Best feed I have ever fed but the price just kept going up to the point I couldn't see the benefit of buying it as opposed to Diamond Extreme Athlete which is 40 cents a pound cheaper.

If I didn't like the Extreme Athlete I would just bite the bullet and feed it again.

Ditto. Same reason that I stopped feeding it and went with EA. More protein and fat helped sway me as well. I consider a 30/20 a start. I won't even look at anything less.
