Single Registration

I was on the internet and I found a form on the ukcdogs.com that allowed me to fill and print out a single registration form. I printed it out, but now what do I do? I'm not sure what the process is that I have to follow now or if that is even acceptable. How can I single register my coonhound, and get her ukc papers so I can put her in the hunts is all I want to know. Any help would be great. Thanks.

The rules for single registratioin vary with each breed. The first thing is that your breed must have the book open for single registration. Not all of them do and not all the time. Here is a link to the Walker breed rules for single reg that you can use as a guideline. http://www.ukcdogs.com/WebSite.nsf/...le,registration

my dog has no papers on any registry available. So would I have to do the limited registration?

Limited Registration is not for Coonhounds.

Before you can think about single registration, the dog would need to be able to meet the breed standards of the breed association you intend to register the dog as AND must be able to trail and tree a coon.

Part of the Single Registration process that is common among all the Breed Assoications is passing the breed standards and passing a hunt test.

If the dog can not do neither, then you would not be able to single register.

You will need to contact the Breed Association that you want to register the dog in for all of their requirements. As Jim mentioned, each one has their onw requirements and open period of registering.

I shouldn't have any problems passing the hunt test with her then. That is the whole reason we want to get her single registered because she is such a good dog. Thanks for the help. Could you give me the number for the english coonhound single registration if you have it
