rat terrier registration

I recently purchased my first non-AKC dog, a rat terrier and asked if it was UKC registered. I was told he was so my husband picked him up. Then I realized what the breeder meant by UKC- Universal Kennel Club, Int. and not United Kennel Club. By now of course I am totally in love with him and wouldn't part with him but am wondering if the United Kennel Club recognizes the Universal Kennel Club for single registration?
Thanks for any information.

Since the Rat is in a foundation stock program, we do allow single registrations in that breed for dogs registered with UKCI. Simply download our single application form our downloadable forms and complete it. Pictures are required. If you have trouble downloading, email me and I will send you the single applications.
