My partner of 12 years will never be forgotten

Well tomorrow will come BUT it will be empty without my canine partner of nearly 12 years "REBA"she was my shadow made every step I made (went to every coon hunt I went to). Today I had to have her put down, maybee the smartest dog I have ever put a leash on. No she was not a coondog she was my service dog a lab and we put a lot of people in jail now all I got is MEMORIES. Dang if this aint hard.

Sorry to hear that, H.L. I had to do that with my K9 partner several years ago. He came down with lyphatic sarcoma. One of the hardest things I ever had to do. We put a pile of them in jail, too. We rolled into certain areas and they would say, "Hear comes Rudy and that Richard Gere looking MF'er." They didn't know my name, but, they sure knew his. I know your pain. Rest easy knowing your partner had a good partner!!

Sorry for your loss! I wonder how many people out there just puff up their chest and say " he or she was just a dog ", and that is probably true for most people. But for many of us who have bonded with that special canine friend, these times are really tough. Doesn`t matter if he was your huntin dog, or lap dog, or your service dog, or whatever the situation, it`s still the same. They will love us unconditionally and trust us no matter what! They are part of our family, and some just can`t be replaced!

So sad to hear this HL. Hang in there! :-)

Sorry to hear that H.L. I remember seeing Reba at the events. The things those working K9 do just amazes me. I have so much respect for them. It's sad to lose any great dog but I would have to guess losing a K9 partner would be as hard as it gets.
