Quick one tonight

Wanted to make a quick one tonight and for one of the few times it worked out. Dumped the dogs and within 5 mins they were on a track. They worked this coon a little over 700 yds and put him up.

It was in a pine and cedar thicket and this was one of the few hardwoods so I really got lucky. It was a fairly small tree and even though the coon wouldn't look I found it fairly easy.

It is almost impossible for me to stay out of the woods right now. When you have a young dog that is showing you something a little different every hunt it is just fun.

Thanks, he is a little over a year old and just started doing anything. I am really happy with him at this point. I squirrel hunted him all summer and he didn't show much, I sure was glad to start seeing improvement.

Tim that is what these dogs are really all about! The excitement of watching a young dog develope is what keeps me going with these dogs. Nothing like it!

That is a fine looking young black dog. Very athletic looking!

I like your dogs!!

Lookin good ! that's why i can't understand these guys who expect there dogs to be doing it all at 5 or 6 months old , and if the dog do'nt they get rid of it 1 way or the other. I really like the looks of the brindle dog to.

Thanks, the brindle dog is the best combo dog I own. She recently turned 3. She was a prodigy, probably a once in a lifetime dog for me.
