I WOULD LIKE TO CONGRATULATE JUSTIN COOPER AND TYLER GILKEY ON WINNING THE HUNT THIS WEEKEND WITH ROWDY. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THANK MY HUNTING BUDDY DEREK PETERMAN FOR STEPPING IN AND LOANING ME ONE TO HUNT AND JOE CLOSSER FOR HAVING HER READY AFTER A-ROD WAS SHOT AND KILLED LAST WEEKEND AND ALSO THANKS TO ALL WHO TOLD ME THEY WERE SORRY ABOUT HIS DEATH. TOM, MIKE, JESSE AND THE REST OF THE GUYS ARE DOING A GREAT JOB WITH THE FEDERATION AND IT WILL JUST KEEP GETTING BETTER AND BETTER.

I would like to say congrats to all the dogs who placed this weekend the moon was bright and it was dry but there were still several coons treed. Davy Freeman and Larry Allen were both classy guys to hunt with. I would also like to say thanks to all the guys who guided and judged on Sat night, especially Chris Baker and Mike Hensley for judging the final cast. Tom Wilburs has done an excellent job handling all the paperwork and prize packages for the MCHF and I think we should all thank him for his hard work. The MCHF has improved drastically over the last few years and we should be thankful for those who are responsible for that.

Congrats to the winners. This was a very well run event from what I saw. THANKS to all that put their hard work into this.

IMO, the organization is in very good hands.

Davy, I didn't get a chance to tell you but sorry to hear about your dog getting shot. I hope you get some justice.

Thanks to all the hard work that Tom, Mike, and countless others put into the Federation overall and this final hunt.

Congrats to all the folks making that top 16--lots of recognizable names of Missouri Coonhunting right there in that list. And the final cast sounded like the perfect setup for all involved.

And congrats to my partner for pulling it all off. You and the Rowdster deserve it.

had a great

time on the final cast with justin and davy thanks to tom and every body that put this hunt on they work very hard at it

LARRY IT IS NICE WHEN YOU CAN GO OUT AND HUNT WITH GOOD GUYS AND LET THE DOGS DO THEIR THING. YOU AND COOP WERE BOTH A PLEASURE TO HUNT WITH AND THE GUIDES AND JUDGES WERE THE SAME. JOHN D THANKS WE GOT THE VET BILLS PAID BUT THAT WONT BRING THE DOG BACK.

Davy I wish more could be done about that but that situation with Arod but hopefully the man will never do that kind of thing again. Are you handling Squirt this weekend for Derek? If you keep winning he may have to put you on the payroll. LOL

Posted by DAVY FREEMAN on 10-11-2011 04:17 PM:

HE'S ALREADY PAYING !! I AM GOING TO HUNT HER A COUPLE NIGHTS AND SEE HOW WE GET ALONG. I ALWAYS HAVE GOT ALONG PRETTY GOOD WITH HER AND JOE HAS HER CRANKED RIGHT NOW.

Haven't been on here for a while. Congrats to all those who got through. Had fun all weekend to much at times from the way my head felt but oh well. Had a good time sat night and thank you guys for being the kind of hunters that are a pleasure to judge and hunt with. Still kind of would have liked to have been hunting instead of judgeing but have never complained about getting beat fair and square by a nice hound. The MCHF is headed in the right direction and hopefully will keep growing.
