training facilities

be carefull who you send to, ask for references, weekly updates etc. i coowned a dog that was sent to a trainer in westville ok, and came back totally ruined, and the whole time we were told shes doing a great job, nice track and tree dog. but when it was time too pick her up the story changed too shes not doing anything and yet has treed a coon on her own when we were told she was, my freind dave sent her to them in total confidence, as well as alot of money. just be carefull. thanks and happy huntin. travis

thanks

i have seen some ad's on the that training facility there in westville supposedly a good one, i was a few years ago going to sent my gyp to mike harrel in IL but he was all booked up for the time being and now he is passed away.

it doesnt have to be a specific "training facility" it could be someone but i mean they need to know what they are doing and have some references

thanks for your info

I sent 2 of mine

to a training facility in Oklahoma several years ago. I picked them up at 2 p.m. and went hunting that nite. As soon as I unsnapped the lead, the Bluetick struck & ran a deer. The training facility where I had sent my dogs had penned deer on the property. The B&T DID trail & tree a coon but I believe she was a natural & would have done it without me spending money on her. Now I try to find someone I know personally who will hunt my dogs. I don't mind paying someone for their time & talent when they can get the desired results.

i bought a dog off the guys that own the training facility in westville, she has turned out to be a good dog. when we got her she would trail and tree, but was not solid on tree yet. but she was about 11/2 years old at the time.if you are interested p.m. me and i will give you the phone number of one of the owners.

just my opinion, but if it was me i would try to find someone to hunt your dog that could give them lots of one on one time, with the most a pup trainer hunted with them

If you dont find someone let me know.
I am in Marietta Oklahoma and have a good solid old dog and can give you all the refrences you want on me.
I charge $400 per month in advance to hunt your dog a minium of 4 nights per week.
I feed Black Gold dog feed and take care of my hounds.
I have not hunted dogs for the public in many years but would be willing to take up to 3 at this time.
If the dog has any growel whatsoever dont bother calling me.

What ever you do don't let ANTHONY GREENWOOD hunt him for you..He lives close to Ada.He still owes me 500.00.Won't return my call.I've drove up there 2 or 3 times can't catch him at home.We learn from our mistakes.I hope no one else makes this one.Don't get me wrong I'm not bad mouthing him;just want everyone to know he cannot be trusted.

If anyone else needs a dog hunted let me know.
We(me and my 18 year old son) do not have a training pen but have lots of places to hunt that have real wild coon.
I have coonhunted nearly all of my 39 years and know how to train a coonhound.
For a reference on me contact Timothy Ball.

id say lowell in wisconsin is the best. all i know if it was my dog and it came back that way id be on the phone with these boys NOW!!!!! id be getting money back. i just talked to travis and its just a shame about that dog him and dave had down there. these boys would be getting a personal visit from me if it was my dog. icant believe any fellow coonhunter would do this to someone it makes me sick. but i guess if its all about the money like it is for the boys at hidden valley. id like to say more about them but i dont want to get bared from this web site but any response from them would be welcome

beleive me, something will be done so this dont happen to someone elses dog. not to mention but another guy sent a pup to enroll in there pup program and this dog is also a wreck. this place should be shut down. word of mouth travels along way. no dog should be treated this way. these guys need to get a clue on how to care and train a dog. this is crap.

AND THE FEMALE WASNT SHY GOOD TEMPERMENT GOT HER BACK SHE RAN OFF HAVENT SEEN HER SINCE. THIS DOG NEVER ACTED LIKE THIS BEFORE ACTED LIKE SOMEONE BEAT THE HELL OUT OF HER. NOT TRASHING ANYONE JUST A LESSON LEARNED DONT WANT ANYONE ELSE TO MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.
