? about a growth

dog got some sort of growth or something on leg almost looks like a tick full of blood only a little bigger, thinking of butting a rubber band around it or some fish line any 1 ever try this did it work.

This happens alot in dogs that arent hunted much-its just a fatty tumor called lipoma-its caused by not being active enough-just burn it off-ive seen it done a million times by bruce

You can tie a piece of suture thread, or a stout (like upholstery) thread around the neck of it tightly - this will cut off the blood supply, and it will dry up and fall off. When it does, just put a bit of eye and wound powder, or the purple spray on it.
It's called 'ligation', and you could pay your vet $$ to do it, or you can just do it yourself, as long as it is a lump that is sitting away from the skin, with a bit of a neck, so that you can tie in behind the lump.

Depending on how big it is, one to two weeks.
