Going to the Woods for the First Time in Six Months

I know you haven't seen me much on here, here of late but I took a job back with the County Sheriff's Office back in Dec 10. I hunted maybe four times after the first of the year. I know what you are thinking and yes it is true. I have become real lazy but tonight if the good Lord willing I am kicking off 2011 and don't plan on letting up much if at all for a while. I have more time now on the job I am doing than I ever have since taking up this fine sport. So all I can say is I have been lazy but the weather hasn't been the best either so it don't take much for a excuse for me not to go. Just hope I can get back without a heart attack because I am really out of shape. Glad to be back on here maybe not as much as I use to be but glad to be back. Take care and God Bless you All..

Had a great time out tonight

We took Ole Zero & Bryan dog Sheba and a pup named Blueberry and we made three trees and see four coons. Here is a video don't know how good it is but I can really say I had a good time.

i tell you what will make you feel bad. i got a friend(Jess Hamby) in his mid 80's a very good friend at that. the doctor give him 2 to 6 months to live about 6 weeks ago due to cancer. he goes every night and goes hard i wish i had his passion. its no wonder he always had at least 4 nt ch. dogs in his kennel if he owned them they were coondogs

Yep, just last Thursday was my first night in the woods since April 1st. Boy was it nice to get out!!!!!!!

It has been the first time since I started hunting in 1973 that I missed a July 15th or July 8th opener of training season.

Well Terry I broke the ice tonight also and went out for the 1st. time in awhile. We made two drops and saw one coon. Here is a short video of the last drop. Its not the best becuase I done it with my cellphone. I thought it was pretty neat that they treed the coon on the tree with a no tresspassing sign nailed to it.

Yeah man I had rights to be there. We was inside the Dobson city limits also when we treed that one. LOL
