nother snake bit dog
took my plott and a friends' plott out last night. they were doing pretty well for just starting on their own. then i saw my plott coming down the dirt road, limping. sure nough, she was snake bit on the leg. i gave her one bynadryrl and headed home. she was doing ok but i gave her a shot of steroids. i gave her another bynidryl this morning and she's doing a lot better. she's eating and drinking. my 10 mon old kemmer cur just got over getting bite. i think with the drought we're having is causing all the snakes to congregate around the few water holes. then, dogs get hot they go to the only water they can find.
