rules question..not a complaint
I recently participated in a great hunt..but something happened (a ruling) that I wondered about for future reference.
Three dog cast...two had went south (running a track), one north. We attempted to to stay within hearing of the two that went south. The one that went north we never running at all.
As we moved south, we stopped often to see if we could hear the northern dog. We never did...but eventually we lost hearing of the two running south.
Soon after that, we started south again and the judge applied the 8 minute rule on both dogs.
It seemed to me that considering we were attempting to hear both sets of dogs, and one set ran out of hearing, this was not correct.
Any opinions? By the way, we were able to get back within hearing and all worked out very well. We had a great hunt!

sounds like they all should have been scratched for off game and gone to the house
U call time out if dogs trail outta hearing in different directions. An u can't scratch a dog for off game if u dont see it. An besides he didn't say rather it was a registered or nite ch cast.
What would change in a reg. or ntch cast
