i use red ceader chips in my ouside dog boxes never have no flea problems some people say they dont work but my vet says they do work the fleas dont like the ceader smell on the dog and wont stay on them i also mix creolene with water and give them a barh in it will tell you how to mix it on the bottle he gave me a pill called comfortis for my wifes shitzu havent seen a flea on her sinse jmo

Comfortis works great but it is available by prescription only or Vet Visit to get him/her to give your dog one, Pretty expensive as well. Probably 80 bucks or so for a 6 mo supply -- if you have a prescription. You don't buy this one from the online pet suppliers without a prescription.

Use to use it on our Bully "Theo" now deceased... but he was a privileged character!

Man I tried everything I could get my hands on for fleas and nothing worked. The fleas where the worst this year than I have ever seen and they where eating my dogs alive I was haveing to wash them every 2 days to keep the fleas off of them my heart was breaking watching them scratch and dig. I finnialy broke down and went to the vet and got comfortis and within 2hrs there was not a flea to be found anywhere around my yard this is the best stuff out there right now I highly recomend it. With out a dought IT WORKS.

comfortis

yea a little steep i think for 1 pill but like dixie walker said it really works my vet only give me 1 pill hope he will sell it to me every month without having to take dog in every month and have to pay for a office vist which would cost 52 dollars for vist and 1 pill

You dont have to take your dog to the vet to get comfortis. My vet sales them individualy for about 15 bucks for a 50lb dog. If that is to steep i dont know anything cheaper. My work took me out of town for 3 weeks and when i came back i was infested in fleas. Tried everything that has been recomended on this board and none of them worked. Bought each of my dogs one pill each and in 3 hrs they didnt have a flea on them. The next day you couldnt find a flea in my yard. They will start to kill fleas in 30 minutes from the time you give it to them. After about a week i bought the ear tags for cows and put one on each collar and have not seen a flea in about 2 months...Like i said i tried baths, all kind of sprays, changing bedding, fleas would be back next day..I fully recommend a comfortis pill....Thanks,,Roger

Some vets will sell you one pill at a time but most vets make you come in for a inital check up then you have to buy a 6mth supply for like 90$ there is very few that will let you just buy 1 pill at a time out of 6 vet in my area only one will just sell 1 pill at a time with out a check up so i go to them its 21$ for 1 pill but it worth it to me my dogs dont have to suffer from fleas now and im not haveing to wash them every other day or spry poison every few days that doesnt work so ill continue to spend 20$ a pill as long as I can get it plain and simple this stuff WORKS.

Pet Armor has the same ingredients in the same percentages as the familiar flea and tick product Frontline. It works you can get 3 months for 26.99 at Walgreens or 28.99 at Walmart. It was on sale at Walgreens it maybe cheaper to get it from Walmart now.
