any big game hunters near...

taylorsville, nc? which is about 30 minutes from lenoir and an hour from boone. i have an 8 year old english male that i have always wanted to try on bear. i've always thought he could be a better bear dog than coon dog. just curious if there are any close by that wouldn't mind me and earl tagging along one hunt to see how it goes.
