Keep My Brother In Your Prayers..

Please remember my brother in your prayers... He makes handpoured soft plastic fishing baits and Friday morning spilld 2 cups of it on his legs. he has at least 2nd degree burns and maybe some 3rd degree. My Mom and sister are taking him to Wake Forest Burn Center in the morning.

We will be praying! Hope he heals up well... My dad was a cosmetic surgeon... who started his plastic surgery residency working with burn patients. He continued over the yrs to do lots of burn work so I have met many burn victims and know how painful it can be. I had small but deep third degree burns on both thumbs in high school.... and it IS painful... I also grew up with a Mum who would not talk about fire or burns... since she is now one of the only remaining survivors of the Cocoanut Grove fire in Boston... she was burned on her hands. Ironically my dad was working with those victims but they did not meet till later on.
Anyway... what I getting at is that my family has always prayed for burn victims... and Bob and I will do so now for sure!

He went to the Burn Dr today and thy scrapped off all the burnt skin and set him up for skin grafts on Friday.

Today my brother went back to Wake Forset for the skin grafting. He came through the surgery fine the Dr said. But they also told our Mom that the burns were actually alot worse than they had thought and that they were indeed third degree burns.

Keep my brother in your prayers as he has a long recovery in front of him. He will be in the hospital for at least 7 days.

Still Praying HARD for your brother! real sorry to hear the burns are so bad... it will be tough but they have had such advances with burn treatments....

Thanks DogCop. They went back home Saturday after seeing him. I went to see him yesterday and Mom and Dad came up also.

He seems to be doing good,they are suppose release him Friday.
