We get $900.00 a week per guide. One guide can guide 5 hunters. The guide fee also includes baited sites. I have 17 sites baited for bear that I keep going to start bear from. The cost for the non resident license is $188.00. I require $500.00 deposit and the rest upon arrival. This is a remote area but easy to hunt with a lot of roads. It it also only 7 miles from town and the camp is right off of route 2 in Sherman Maine. The first week of hounds is filled. We are booking from Sept.19th on through Oct now.

It's a Maine State law that a non resident hunting hounds must hire a guide. Camp @ $500.00 a week and guide @ $900.00 = $1400.00. That is for 5 hunters. Break that down and it comes to only $280.00 per man. I think that's a deal. Now, if you charge your fellows say $350.00 or $400.00 to come and hunt with you, you make money.

Tree1, I will give you all the ref. you want. I am offering our camp for $500.00 for 10 guys. Try to beat that anywhere. I am asking $150.00 a day for a guide fee. That includes my truck, my gas, my bait sites and my bait that I buy for $180.00 a drum. Look at our web site and give me a call and I'll give you a list of fellows that have hunted with us.
