-- What a night! (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=437916)

What a night!

My daughter has been getting on me about not taking her hunting enough. I normally don't go until 1a.m. on weeknights because of work and I've been at a hunt every weekend so tonight I decided that I would pick her up and take her with me and I would let her sleep in until it was time for me to go to work. She hung in there until 5 a.m.! Not too shabby for a 5 yr old. She decided that there was too many briars on the first dump so I packed a 70lb kid on my back for 1200 yards across a ditch and back. On the way out she said "dad its hot up here on your back!" Lol. Sorry hunny you should try being the one lugging you around! As an extra bonus I got to listen to a coon squaller for what seemed like an eternity! It was worth every second though. Can't wait until my son is big enough to see over the weeds so I can take the both of them! It never fails, when I start to get burnt out I can just look down and realize what its all about.

Just took my daughter the other night. We hunted a hour and a half and walked about a mile. She hung in there prety good for a four year old. The best is listening to her version of the story afterward completly diffrent perpective.
