Need help please
Hey guys, I have a pup that isn't being himself today. He is 12 weeks old and has two parvo shots at this point. The last one being over two weeks ago. He acted fine yesterday. I took him out to the creek last night with my older dogs just to play around in the creek and he got into some rotten muscadines(spelling?) and today he is acting throwing up and has diahrea. He wont eat today as well. Do you think he is getting parvo and it was just a coincidence that he ate the muscadines last night or do you think they could have made him sick? ? Please help out guys
Even though We should never give it to them, the fact is dogs can and often do eat some pretty nasty stuff with no ill effects. That dosen't mean We should rule out the possibility that this is Your only problem but I kinda doubt it.How much of this stuff did pup eat and how soon afterward was it sick ?
I would like to know how long had Your pup been completely seperated from its mother when it recieved it's last shot. And did the shot cover coronavirus. A lot of People don't vac. for corona because the shots are so much more expensive. The symptoms for corona are nearly identical to those of parvo except not as severe and the liklehood of them surviving is much greater.Either way parvo or corona You will need Vet. care. If there is no blood in the stool and the pup acts fairly good try giveing it small dose of pepto bismol . That may be all it needs but if it needs more the pepto will still have been good for it. In fact I know people who claim to have cured parvo with pepto.(I think They were mistaken and it was actually corona) I hope everything improves quickly for You. Good luck
Sorry to hear about you pup Rusty. What you need to do is contact the breeder and find out exactly what shots the pup had been given. And, if the shots were not kept at cool temperatures up until they were given, they may not be any good. As a rule of thumb, I always give any new puppy that may come into my kennels a shot that I know is good. Good luck with your puppy.

I figured out from the vet today that grapes are toxic to dogs. So when he ate the muscadines it poisoned him and began vomiting and had diahrea. Gave him some pedialyte and some white rice and chicken and he is great today! Thank you for your help guys.
