Ive wore quite a few over the years and I ALWAYS have a hard time with boots, until I went to a Danner Pronghorn. My only fault is after two years of solid hard use mine started to leak. This fall I will replace them with another pair though.

Like the way they feel, but last 3 pair I have had were waterproof for about 20 days of hunting. Karl

My fist pair was good, but the lineing swelled up in the last three pairs, wrote a letter to danner, got no reply, shoe store said that danners were now made overseas, Im not sure where Irish setters are made but they are my favorite now.

I've wore a lot of Danners including Pronghorns. I got a pair of Meindl "Perfekt" hikers last year before bow season. After a week of long hikes in them I was convinced they were a little better boot than I had ever owned before. Then I wore my trusty Pronghorns again one day on a hunt. After getting used to the Meindl's and then going back to my other boots, there was a "BIG" difference. I plan to get a set of the taller "Perfekt" Hunters also. Meindl is also making some cheaper type boots that I didn't like as well when I tried them on. But the "Perfekt" hikers are the best boots I have worn. Good luck.

i myself like the georgia boot insulated loggers. they are waterproof and have the big hill and lugs to hold to the steep mountains and always throw some snow seal on them during hunting season just in case.

kennetrek mountain extremes, i cover alot of ground in a year and have went through many brands of boots, they are the best i have had on my feet. alot of the guys i hunt with have purchased them and they all feel the same way.

Danner Pronghorns, but they are not nearly as waterproof as they should be. Danner's are durable and comfortable, but they leak.

I had Irish Setters that were waterproof, but they were not durable.

I have had Rockies that were tough and waterproof, but they were heavy and uncomfortable.

The worst pair of boots I owned were Silves brand. They were light and comfortable and fell apart half way through the season.
