can you give penicillin to pregnant gyp?
right before birth of puppies. My cousin has a gyp who lost some pups last time because her milk went bad in the summer time and she is due in two weeks. After she started losing pups last time he gave her a shot and the pups stopped dying.
Just needed to know if we could possibly pre empt a problem.
also what about ivomec prior to as well?
any experience would help.
thx

I would use Amoxicillin over Penicillin. Clavamox is good for bad milk (mastitis).
I continue monthly Ivomec treatment during pregancy.
penicillin will not hert eneything but you should give her milk aid i think happy jack makes it all so you put her on vitimends for dogs good place to get them is wall mart .no more milk fever
bad milk
i give my females milk aid. not worth taking a chance her milk will be bad. should take care of the problem she had with bad milk.
