lol! that sucks!

Our copperheads and rattlesnakes are not what they were 20 years ago and I really think it is because all the turkeys eat them when they are little.

You may want to put a Compression Wrap at the lower portion of the Dogs leg ..

You can use that Co-adheasive wrap used for Horses ..

What this does is Prevent any Fluids from Puddling in the Healthy Mussel Tissue below the Infected Tissue ..

Sometime a Drain Hole cut just above the Compression wrap Helps the Drainage the Infectious Fluid ..

You wrap it quite Tightly but still able to slide your finger under the wrap easely . Change the Wrap each day and only use this for 3-4 days ..

You can really Speed up the Healing by a week or so

I've had three bitten a week ago. I've had so many here in the pasture that I don't pay them much attension and the swelling is usually down in 24 to 36 hrs.

When your dog gets snake bit, give him benadryl. one pill for each 25lb, next day give it to him again. He will be able to hunt in 3 days. Keep them in your dog box.
