Lol Funny!!!

Took my boys in to the Vet today....I had four of them and the receptionist told me to bring them in the lobby....So I took one of them and my 11 year old daughter took the other....well my dogs are straight up hounds.......Don't get to town much!!! This little old lady walks in carrying a Yorkie.... OMG!!!!! My dogs go balistic at just seeing the little thing....they kind of look like a coon...he he he!!! My daughter is holding one of the dogs as they drag her across the vets office on her belly.....She was screaming the old lady was screaming....I was freaking out...I thought the old lady was going to have a heart attack.......OMG....I sure had to do some apologizing.........It was a scene!!!!! My Daughter ignored me all the way home...she was ticked..

i had the same problem at the vet's once, only it was with a cat that got loose in the office. oh boy, it was on,lol

I ALWAYS LEAVE MINE IN THE TRUCK UNTIL THE DOC IS READY. I HAVE ONE THAT WILL TAKE THE CATS OUT.

... Makes me miss my old blue tick tons... Our vets would see him after hours generally. Not only would he EAT a cat when a DUMB person would ignore us SAYING he would.... but he was rather loud and tended to scare people as well as dawgs. When he got his nails done(took an army to do this) he would howl as though the world was ending... And if he saw a critter his tree (I guess bay in this case) voice was amazing.... He was kinda famous in these parts... not many coonhounds around. EVeryone loved him and the neighbors called him the FOGHORN. Just got a silent BnT left and he is scared of most little dawgs! Doesn't mind cats too much and does well in the waiting room at the vet generally.

I can picture your daughter and the look on her face!

Yeah, my daughter was plum ticked...at the dog and more at me cuz I was laughing at her....but I waited to laugh until the terror was over with.......It was a sight!....She did not let go though that dog was dragging her around on her belly and she was holding on for dear life...Everyone in that Vet office was looking at us like we were a bunch of old backwoods bumpkins...it was great!!!

That's why we have our vet do our dogs shots and such when they come to the farm to check up on a cow!!! Great story!!!! LOL

Imagine how I felt a couple years ago when I took my Gr.Nt. to the vet.The vet was a female and she told me to go ahead and bring him in.Well,I went and got him outta the box,put a lead on him and walked him in. The vet was standin' there fillin' out some paper work when ol' RED walked up behind her,cocked his leg and urinated all over her leg.Man,I couldn't apologize enough.She wasn't real thrilled either cuz she was wearin' pants.LOL!!!!!

HE HE HE!!! That's great....I bet she was not too happy about that!!!....My Bean pup did the same thing the other night...I was hunting with some new guys...I unloaded my hound and he lifted his leg an christened my new partners leg....he was like you gotta be kidding me your dog just pissed on my jean!!!!!!!

I usually take a box full at a time. Get my vet to come out and give the shots. Ain't no way Im taking the heathens in the office lol. They would clear the room Prolly. It would be a site to see I guess. Might just try it and have somebody film it. You could have Prolly won some money with a video of that dog dragging your daughter across the floor!

I just read this to Bob... and he said it reminded him RIGHT away of taking Wyatt to the vet... Been a yr now since he died and we miss him so much. His last experience at the vets was being in intensive care at the hospital... He was so quiet. With the chemo meds and blood transfusions he had almost ten GOOD days... when we brought him in for a re check during that time... with him feeling better he bayed at something...in a very hoarse voice... and the vets and techs came out to see him, knowing it was WYATT... They loved him too... We were so proud of that voice....

FUN too own coondawgs! I'm sure your daughter will not be volunteering to go with you next time! LOL...

I could tell you some stories of being dragged by the horses..... LOL...

They don't even ask me to bring the dogs in anymore....Last time i told the vet tech that it would be safer to just have the vet go out to the tailgate...There were cats in there, which i clearly pointed out but the tech just looked at me like i was stupid and told me that if i didn't bring the dog in right then i would have to re-schedule my appointment because I would have missed my time opening...That ticked me off so i went and got the dog...The old lady with the cats wasn't to impressed when i walked through the door and the dog started bawling and got all slobber mouthed. I had to drag the dog cross the floor and into the back room...the vet tech told me to control my dog and I told her "Considering the cat is still in one piece i think i did good" The look on her face was priceless.
