I'm pretty sure there is a guy in ME that has done it, not sure of his name off hand, but all the dogs he has are quad titled.

This is just from memory so I may be missing something, but I think the male dog was owned by John Boice and was a quad grand named Reb, and the female was owned by Roger Shipman and was a quad grand named Patches. I believe John was from Maine and Roger was in the Northeast part of the country also. I could probably look back at some old english issues or yearbooks and find out for sure but that is what comes to mind.

Alan before it got to hot for me to hunt Briar was starting to turn it on. He only treed 7 times this year but the last 5 were coon and the first 2 opossums. Each time he treed a coon he got his own coon and he didn't back other dogs. I am so ready for it to get COOL again.

patches

Roger was from Chenago County in central NY. Patches has been dead for a long time. I had a male off her born in 97 and she wasnt to young then. She was a great reproducer of coondogs. My male got hung in a nite hunt with 8second places and 5 other places. Never got the first. Roger owned him for a short time and had points on him in all 4 event types. I would like to find more of this blood but it is about gone or way way back in the pedegree. I believe roger dosent coon hunt anymore.

Found it!

Alan I knew I had it in an old Bloodlines somewhere!

March 1998 Issue, page 14

John Boyce of Lincoln, Maine and Roger Shipman of New York made a UKC first by breeding a pair of Quadruple Grand Champion English hounds. John's Quad Grand Champion Tracy Mt. Carolina Reb V and Roger's Quad Grand Shipman's Little Patches. It was the first time two Quad Champions had been bred and each of the dogs were the first English dogs of their sex to achieve the Quadruple Grand Ch title. Shipmans Little Patches having been hit by a car previously and had a healed broken pelvis had to have a C-section. She had 15 pups inside but only four survived 3 males and a female.
