Peoples Republik of Illinois
The last state in the union to deny it's subjects (called "citizens" in all other 49 states) their Constitutional right to protect themselves is Illinois. While some states still make it hard to obtain a concealed carry permit, Illinois is the ONLY state left that outright DENIES citizens the right to carry.
May 2011, "Governor Quinn who teamed with Daley to rally the Democrat troops against the people’s right to keep and bear arms was supported in his campaign for governor by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence (BCPGV). The radical anti-gun organization (which also supported Barack Obama in 2008) has been linked to the George Soros’ backed Center for American Progress, MoveOn.org and other shadow groups."

It's time to vote out Democrat Gov. Pat Quinn who threatened to VETO any attempt to pass concealed carry in Illinois. It's time for the people of Illinois to become a CITIZENS, not "subjects".

Approximately 35% of the voting population leave in or around the metro Chicago area.
With that said, perhaps the remaining 65% need to get off of their butts and actually start doing something to help themselves instead of just throwing their hands up in the air in disgust.
Daly and his political machine (including Obama...don't kid yourself and think he is anything else) need a wake up call from those people in this state that will not toe the political line setup by those from north-eastern Illinois.
How will we accomplish this? I don't really have the answer to that. As long as the umbilical cord of money from the uterus of Chicago that feed the bastard offsprings in Springfield exists, the pandering to the windy city politics will continue. If you have any doubts of where the political clout lies, just take a look at the annual budget for road construction and repairs goes...85% to the metro Chicago area.
The sheep citizens of Chicago need to get rallied up and demand answers for the greed and graft that so much a part of their lives...and perhaps even, dare I say it, have a voice and opinion of their own.

**** them corrupt ILL. politicians.......
.FORSYTH - Several Republican state representatives from Central Illinois reiterated a sentiment they've long voiced: Illinois should have some manner of concealed-carry law for gun owners, and Chicago lawmakers are to blame for the lack of one.
State Reps. Adam Brown, Bill Mitchell and Chapin Rose gathered Thursday at Mitchell's office in Forsyth to announce their plan for a bill that would allow individual county boards to set their own rules regarding concealed carry. With a recent measure passed in Wisconsin, Illinois is now the only state in the country with no option for concealed carry.
They were quick to point out that they would prefer a statewide law, but a county-by-county option is, as Mitchell put it, "better than nothing."
National Rifle Association lobbyist Todd Vandermyde disagreed.
"We understand and are sympathetic to people who live outside the Chicago metropolitan area, and we feel the state is being dictated and run by the city of Chicago through the General Assembly. That said, our review of this bill is that it's a bad approach and not something that warrants our support," he said Thursday. "You could have 102 different rules in 102 different counties. The concept seems greatly unworkable, and it raises a lot more questions than problems it solves."
Rose, R-Mahomet, said his constituents are voicing frustration, with the turn of events in Wisconsin marking Illinois as the last holdout.
"Every time I walk into a coffee shop in downstate Illinois, I get asked, 'When are we going to get concealed carry?' " said Rose, a Charleston native. "I think people are just fed up that we're the last state that doesn't have some form of it. We're tired of being dictated to about how to live our lives by Chicago."
A recent measure that would have legalized concealed carry statewide failed to pass the Illinois House in May, garnering just a few votes shy of the three-fifths majority Democratic leaders said they needed to supersede home rule laws throughout the state, such as Chicago's stringent gun control laws. Republicans are calling into question why a simple majority was not enough to pass it.
"I believe families want an opportunity to protect families," said Brown, R-Decatur. "The push-back we've had is from Chicago legislators."
Speaking on behalf of Macon County Sheriff Thomas Schneider, who in a statement supported the measure, Lt. Tony Brown said Macon County sheriff's officers can't be everywhere at once.
"I believe (a lack of concealed carry) handicaps the law-abiding citizen," he said. "Criminals don't play by the rules."
The legislation is House Bill 3794.

Hey guy's just wanted to let you know your not alone. We here in upstate NY would love to have NYC cut off from us. We've had our hand's full with some real winner's for gov's. Elliot Spitzer (prostitute scandal) , David Patterson (admitted prior coke user) who was so stupid Saturday night live spoofed him. And just now last night they passed a law to allow same sex marriage! When you guy's find a decent place to live let me know I'll come with you. It suck's when special interest groups , that are the minority yet live where their voices are more easily heard, can control the majority. I'm not trying to hi-jack your post just needed to vent myself.
