Diamond Deluxe Question

Does anybody own a T-Style DD box if so do you like it. thinking of buying a new one and for that $ i dont want to be dissapointed Thanks for Reading

Surely Someone ownes a T-style Box

I have a Diamond Deluxe box that I really like.....but if you are looking for quality find an Owens dealer.

I've got one for a full size truck and I absolutely love it, wouldn't have anything else. I don't see why anyone would recommend you not get a Diamond Deluxe, they're heavily involved with the sport and lead the industry in quality and design. If you get one you want be disappointed and go with the T-style for sure.

For the Replys It would be hard to beat the look of the DD T-style

mine is junk!!!hope you have a welding shop close, because if they cant weld any better than when i bought mine you will have plenty of repairs to do...

Never spent the money due to hearing so many negative responses to their welds.

I have the Y-style dog box from Diamond Deluxe and love it. As for the weld, I know my box has a better weld than the Owens I have seen. I don't know if Diamond Deluxe changed something with their welds, but I have had no problems.

I,too,have a DD

I've got the O model and have had no problems at all.The locks on the doors and the top storage work as well today as they did 5 years ago when I bought it.No complaints at all here.

In my Diamond Deluxe the top welds broke. The Top lock quit working and I had to replace the door handles. All of this was after a couple years of hard use. I have had my Owens box for about 6 months now and I love it I doubt I will ever have another Diamond Deluxe.

I had one for about 6 years. After four years, the welds broke on the top lid. I got it fixed. Then last year, the welds on the bottom broke too. I ended up selling it for $200 and bought one that my buddy's brother makes.


If you look, they spot weld and run small beads. This is why a lot of people are having trouble with the welds breaking.

Mine is real hot for hounds in summer-also had to fix some welds- had problems with side box lids not wanting to latch, had to adjust several times.

Thanks again I might Look in to the Owens a little more from what i am hearing i dont want to spend that much money on a box and it break down the road but the Diamond Deluxe is the better looking box in my oppionion Thanks Again for the replys
