We tree coon in Yellow Wood all the time, even with our dogs LOL. No one seems to hunt the hills anymore there so 98% of the time we are alone. When my husband use to guide some hunts he would take them there and they would just whine about the hills LOL.
I am sure we would love to hunt with you and you never know since I do not know your real name that we might even already know each other, Do you or did you ever go to the Ace Coon Club? We use to belong to that club a couple of years ago. Things went bad there so we quit.

where you at engman?
newcoonhunter~ I work at the Wilbur Wright F&W A. You want to be careful running hounds there. Highway 103 runs right through the middle of it, then on the west side of Little Blue River is the State Prison and if your dogs go there and you try to get them your going to be in major trouble if caught. Ad to that several neighbors who don't don't like hunters and you have all of the ingredients for trouble. If you have a close hunting dog you'll greatly reduce your chances for trouble.

I live in the Paragon, Indiana area. We have so many hunters here you gotta get to a spot before it's dark to keep from running into everybody. Even then you have to climb over one another to get to your dogs....lol
I hunt wilber pretty often. I have never had any trouble. Lost a dog there and was called the next morning by the people who live right there. It is a hard place to hunt though you need a dog that will go deep. 103 can be a danger but so can all roads. This is a nice place to go turn out and hunt all night long. You can stay there for 6 hours hunting and still not cover all of it. The biggest problem I have seen at wilber is the yotes I have had them come into my dogs once and circle often, so when they tree you better go get them. As far as the prison goes if a person can't get out then i would not worry to much about your dogs getting in.
none

Well engman never been scared of a hill yet, when season is back in I'll hunt anywhere. Been on a few hills i was real glad I made it up, but at the end of the night I always find my way back to the truck. As far as Timber22 I'm about 40 min from you so anytime you want to throw them in let me know. I have a year old I'm going to hit pretty hard when running season comes back in but I have an older one that will get it done too.
