what is a big game hound

Howdy,
Just curious to know what you guys and gals class as a big game houndsmen. Can a big game hound be any scent trailing hound? Or is it limited to the treeing dogs?.
Or does it all come down to the size of the animal that lays the scent that you put your hounds on?
