After the smoke has cleared!

I am setting here in my easy chair thinking. It was really something for me to be out of coonhunting for so long then come back and get hooked with a good young hound. What is more amazing is the caliber of Handlers and Power of the Hounds I was surounded with the past weekend. WOW! is what i am thinking. The sound of Hounds still echo in my head. There was Bryan Whitted and Mr. Clean, Mike Raef and Fast Scooter, (Make'um Look Mike) Mike Nelson and Sod-Buster, Jeremy Jones and Whats up Jack "then Me and Lumber"? WOW!
What a change for me! My son Donald who doesn't even hunt drove for me, Braxton my Grandson's eyes where gleaming with joy! Thanks to the Peru Club and Club members, we done a lot of BS'ing. Of course the king (Russ Bellar) was there to see us off. You should have heard some of the old tales I told of Russ and I " And I can tale'um too". I must have talked Mike Raef's ears off about our old hunts and filling me in about Fast Scooter. I hunted with Raef and his first English hound a female in 1974!

hey cliff"" heard you were replaceing ol elvis when he retires is that so/ if so u brtter eat your wheaties because hes one hell of a guy.and hard to follow after

Don't know where you heard that, it's not so. I know Marv is one well respected Man and I like old elvis a bunch. he runs the place and i ask him what he thinks about a lot of stuff, He will tale'ye like it is. Remember Elvis Teamed Lumber and Me. Very greatful to him for that! My fellow Kentucky'un. (*_*)
