Found this little guy tonite!

It cooled off and I was able to drop the dogs on some private property tonite. Had fun and treed a couple. My pup Dan found this little guy but just sniffed and left alone. Pretty new to this world from the looks!

I found my first one tonight just layin in the woods like that one is. Pretty sure we walked past its momma who was eating some hay on the way to the tree and back out of it. Neat little critters to see.

I don't think they have a lot of scent when they are that small. Anyone know for sure?

nice shot doug. had one just a little bigger than that stop and watch me mow my yard the other day. mama wasn't too far away tho.
what is really weird we found a small badger behind the house. trapping some stray cats with tuna found out it liked the tuna.

hey doug have you heard from Randy. really bad news in Joplin. Didn't know how bad Iberia got hit.

Like my Daddy always says

"It is amazing all the neat things you see when you are out in nature. It's sad to know how many people don't get that experience. You don't see it if you're not out there."

COOL!

LOVE to see these pix SO MUCH! We just don't see this stuff around here... We DO get to see our litter of coons on our game cam every year... but the deer are very secretive. The bunnies have to stay underground here.. too many yotes, foxes and feral cats....

Thanks for sharing... Heather

One of my best coon hunting memories is from when I first started, I was spectating at a competition hunt with my buddy, this was at least 15 years ago, and we cut the dogs loose, and shortly thereafter a fawn came up to us, we all petted it and played with it some, and it stayed with us the whole time we were in those woods. I don't know if someone who lived nearby had been feeding it, or what, but I thought that was pretty amazing, and have never encountered such a thing since.
