Does Anyone Know How The Purina Race Is Going?

Since they made a change this year, I haven't saw anything about the race posted! Does anybody know even who's running the race this year, & how the points are stacking up? I always enjoyed following the dogs to see who was going to match up with who!

IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING PLEASE PRINT IT! I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW!!! Thanks, John

"Prestigous Purina Race", 21 dogs showed up at the Illinois State Hunt last week end. The top dog has 250 points and everyone else has 100-150 pts. Oh well, you have to give UKC credit for trying at least. The top Redbone has 50 pts. (There are a bunch of them.) Terry Jessup and Blondie are running away from the field.

"OUCH"!

I guess maybe I didn't want to know after all! I hope UKC & Purina doesn't blame this all on the economy, & try the same thing next year! I'm still surprized that the commitee could have agreed on such a doomed program from the start! OH WELL, I guess at least they tried!!

the top show redbone is me and all i have is 20 points...a rqe win and a win at the Ga state thats all i could make hope it holds up...

A handful have been hitting the Purina shows and doing well. I'm myself setting back with 10pts on one red dog and if I get lucky close to home may take a shot at the BREED win. By this part of the game most the serious ones are showing Grands as will I so it will be tuff going against the leaders. Not mention to do well I've got to be a spoiler for the others trying to win it all.
It would be hard for me to add the extra state hunts into the breed days etc. I've always enjoyed.

Other than the 1 dog with 250 pts,,all the others are close,,any other year there would be about 4 dogs so far ahead by now ,you would know its going to be between one of those 4 thats going to win it.Looks to me like theres a lot of dogs rite now still in the running, and I beleive this is what the new format was suppose to do,keep it close to get more dogs involved. I feel its to early to judge this new format a faliure ,,the next 2 months it could get quite exciting if it stays close.

Well if that was the goal then they have succeeded. Everyone with 0 points is still in the running.

Not positive Tim but I think it's just RQE's and the Purina designated State Hunts. Which would mean ZERO for zones.

May be right but I think the leaders would tell you they've drove some miles at $4 + / gal.. Some one always does and has to to win it all. Breed wins may trickle down and to be honest if a leader gets far enough out in front there's no need to drive any farther.

NITECH GRCH Elburn's Rock It Red has 20 points now also and is headed up north to the Elburn's real soon. So look for him to make a run at the breed win also.

AAhhhh come on Priscilla, I thought those Red dogs liked it down there where the sun is hot, snakes are big and waters deep with hungry gators.
Actually any dog whos won at one of the Purina State shows you would have to figure on picking up a RQE win also somewhere.

Blue Ribbon Winner also has 20 pts after this weekend for redbones, he will be going to MN state and IA state also, hopin to pick up at least 10 more pts at each one, but it will be tough.
