Ok I have a female that I have bred my male too, why because if i can get a pup out of them with her tracking and his treeing they will make a heck of a dog(Now dont get me wrong theres nothing wrong with My Male or my female there good all around dogs and will tree coon all night)actually there a probaly better than I think ,they would be better with a better handler.) it just has takin me awhile to find the right female.My question is can I performance the litter or should I just performance my pup, I'm not looking to make money by selling pups just trying to make a better dog . And could I performance the dam.

YOU CANNOT PERFORMANCE THE PUP WITHOUT PERFORMANCE THE LITTER UNLESS YOU PUT THERE IS A LITTER OF ONE AND THAT'S GOING TO THROW A HUGE RED FLAG UP AT UKC, AND THEY PROBABLY WOULDN'T DO THAT AND BESIDES THAT IT WILL COST THE SAME TO PRP ONE SINGLE AS IT DOES AN ENTIRE LITTER OF 10, SO YOU MIGHT AS WELL JUST DO THE WHOLE LITTER AT ONE TIME.

THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN PERFORMANCE THE DAM IS IF SHE WAS LITTER NOMINATED TO START WITH AND NEVER PERMANENTLY NOMINATED AND SHE IS LESS THAN 2 YEARS OLD. IF SHE'S OVER 2 IT DOESNT MATTER IF HER LITTER WAS NOMINATED OR NOT.

PERFORMANCE NOM

THE SIRE HAS TO BE IN THE PROGRAM FOR 2011 THEN YOU HAVE TO NOMINATE THE LITTER TO ENTER THE PERFORMANCE PROGRAM AFTER JULY 1 IT COST 300.00 DOLLARS TIO NOMANATE THE SIRE.

The sire must be nominated, that is 200 right now. The litter must be nominated at 25, then the individual pups must be perm nom at 25 each before 6 months of age. It goes up after that.

The stud must be a performance sire. Then when the litter is born and you send in for the puppy papers you must nominate the litter for the performance program.

Thank-you all, I'm not stupid this stuff is still new to me.just want to do it right, sending for a DNA kit tomorrow. One more Question , what if the pups are already on the way will I still be able to performance them?

This is something new to me as well. I think I can pay my male up for 2012 and breed him to my female next year and performance the pups............I Think ?? !! ??

Think I got it figured out,$49.00 for the DNA kit. (check is mail) The only thing I don't have figured out is when do send in the paper work for getting the Sir Performance papers.Is when you send in your DNA kit in? I don't care about the money part of it ,thats not the problem, just trying to do it right. THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP.

I AWAYS SENT MY SIRE MONEY IN WITH THE DNA SAMPLE SO WHEN THE DNA COMES BACK TO UKC YOUR DOG WILL AUTO GO IN THE SIRES PROGRAM.IT USEAL TAKES 6 WEEKS.
