N.C. Hunt
Here it is the last of April and the N.C. hunt is being held. I can not figure why with the new emphasis being placed on the
State Hunts by UKC and Purina would a state hunt be conducted this time of year in a state that has snakes, gators much less the mosquitos and other pest. East of I-95 we have all the aforemention obstacles that make tuning a dog up for the hunt very hard. You would figure that each state organization would try to hold their hunt when the dogs are at their prime. That way people would figure that the dogs that placed were the best that the state had to offer. Virginia had their state hunt some three weeks ago, South Carolina and Georgia have held theirs some time ago. Conducting this hunt this time of year is nonsense. I have been absence from coon hunting and the competition hunts for a long time but I am retired now and it won't be long before I have one ready for these hunts. I appreciate the hard work that has and is still be done by the few that takes on this tuff responsiblity but come on people don't you think that the hunters and the dogs deserve a better chance at their state hunt that this.
me an wipeout sis won first place nite champion and high scoreing dog with 950+ last nite to finish her to grand nite good luck to everyone tonite...
