Mantrailing Seminar in Indiana 5-8 thru 5-14
We would like to personally invite you to the 2011 American Mantrailing Academy Spring Seminar will run from May 8th through May 14th.
We have expanded our seminar, so it now runs a full week - Sunday through Saturday.
This seminar is for all skill levels - Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.
Various special classes will be offered, including: Scent Theory, Mantrailing - Back to Basics, Scent Discrimination, Trail Motivation, Basic & Advanced Mantracking (without the dog), How To Use A GPS With Your Training, K-9 First Aid, and much more.
Mantrailing Certification opportunities will be available for all levels. Each handler will receive one certification attempt with their paid academy tuition.
There will be tactical trailing for Law Enforcement teams with real-life scenarios, K-9 demonstrations and the opportunity to certify as an AKC K-9 Good Citizen. Of course, most of the time you will be out on the trail
working your dog. At the end of the day, you can choose from various optional activities, enjoy pleasant conversation around the campfire or
just relax.
Our base camp is located on the A-I Campus nestled in the woods of beautiful Parke County, Indiana (Home of the Covered Bridge Festival).
The facilities are very nice, up to date and air conditioned. The rooms are semi-private, with a bathroom shared only with the adjacent room.
We have over 580 acres right on the premises. This means less driving and more trailing. We also have access to thousands of additional acreage very near the camp.
Instruction will be headed up by our three Master Trainers: Tony Keith, Dave Wheeler and John Holcomb. These three have over 100 years of combined
documented professional Law Enforcement and Search and rescue K-9 experience.
Read their bios - www.americanmantrailing.com/instructors.html.
Early check-in will be available from 4pm to 7PM on Sunday May 8th, 2011.
After that, we will kick things off with a cookout and social gathering to let everybody get acquainted. Classes start Monday morning at 8AM sharp.
The seminar will conclude on Saturday morning.
The cost for the seminar is $465.00 for members, $495.00 for Non-members. The cost for Observers, Back Ups, and Ground Search Team Members without dogs is $365.00 for members, $395.00 for non members. Just for attending, you will receive the following for free: One on one time with our Master Trainers, Complete unbiased evaluation, lodging at our base camp, all meals, all Academy material, limited edition 2011 Spring Seminar
T-Shirt,Photo CD of all the activities and an Official AMA Certification

this has no BUSINESS ON A BIG GAME HUNTING board.
Man Trailing
I guess, if you don't consider hunting a animal (man) that has the ability to kill you back, as big game. I can understand where you are coming from.
I"m sorry if searching for lost or missing people isn't sporty enough for you.
I sincerely hope I haven't offended any one. We are only trying to help people.
Tony
