Can I show my dog with just reg#?

Hello, hoping someone can help me... I sent papers into UKC a month ago anticipating being able to show my plott hound at a bench show this Saturday the 26th. UKC says they are sending my papers out possibly Thursday but I highly doubt they will get here by Saturday.

So my question is can I show my plott with his full name and registration number or do I need the EZ entry card or papers??? PLEASE HELP!

The rule book states under papers required for entering events. Three ways to enter. Submit any of the following to entry taker.

1. Registration Certificate (purple or yellow)

2. UKC Easy Entry Card

3. Registration Certificate and degree ( Champion or Grand Champion)

2011 rule book page 28. Conditional entries

*3. CONDITIONAL ENTRIES
A Conditional Entry is one where the participant
is not in receipt of the form of entry required by the
rules to enter their dog in the event. Those include
the following:
a. Not in possession of current Easy Entry™ Card
or Registration Papers.
b. Non-Updated Category Easy Entry™ Card
after having been notified by UKC.
c. UKC Registration Certificate. (New owners not
yet transferred Registration Papers).
d. Previous owner’s Easy Entry™ Card.
The participant may enter their dog as
Conditional with an additional fee of $5. It is the
responsibility of the owner and/or handler that the
information given and recorded on the Event Report
is accurate. Otherwise, UKC may not award
Championship points or wins for that specific entry,
should they place in the event.
The Entry Taker will accept the entry and the
additional $5 fee. They will make record of such on
the Event Report and mail them to UKC with all other
Event Fees.

Thank you very much for this info... I called UKC and they said that this was the new rule. Still hoping to get the papers back but if not $5 for a conditional entry is a lot cheaper than $35 to rush. Also the points (if he gets any) will be added to my new name . Thanks everyone !

That's ok! I guess its a brand new rule... Its actually coming in handy for me so glad they passed it for 2011. Thanks for answering anyways!
