Food Bloat??

Yall ever had a dog have this. I got one at the vet right now, not doin good at all and theyre havin a hard time gettin him to throw up. Said they might have to flush his stomach out. I tell ya one thing I hope he makes it cause I got a fortune in him right now and he aint even better yet!! I looked it up on the internet and it said it was the second largest killer of dogs after cancer.

GOOD LUCK!!! I hope your dog gets better. Thats pretty serious hope you caught it in time for the vets to save him.

We lost 1 dog to it, hope to never lose another to it. It is a horrible death. We never feed before hunting and avoid exercise for at least 2 hrs. after feed due to it.

Always, always hunt on a near empty stomach. I will not hunt mine if I have fed them within 16-18 hours.

SORRY about your hound it's a ruff feeling when loosing one. The good one never seem to stay around long enough. I lost my best hound i ever had at the ripe age of one year old. Get you a new hound and get back out there

Posted by rabbitman85 on 03-13-2011 09:24 PM:

I got four puppies off of him. Three are at my house and my friend has one of them. People told me I was crazy for breedin him so young but now im glad I did it. Theyre 4 months old so havent started yet but they are pups ill never get again cause the dam died shortly after they were taken off her, and now the sire died.
