i have had bred them at 9 yrs old and the female was good and healthy.

My female is 9 almost 10 and I wouldnt want to put her in any danger but having trouble finding another female that I like as much.She has only had one litter at about 5 years old and has gotten old on me before I realized it.

i bred a grade female that was 10 and very healthy n would run with the best of them i wouldnt have bred her if she wasnt real healthy she had 10 all died but one she raised it just fine it was her third breeding she never had any problems with her first two litters jb

It really matters more what your vet thinks as he/she will be the one that you want watching your old gal through the whole thing. I bred a female that was getting up there but I listen to everyone around me and bred her anyway, lost her to diabetes and had to hand feed the pups. Was a bad situation all the way around, and almost caused a divorce.
